The Chapman Writing Center is a teaching and learning facility devoted to promoting written literacy as a mode of critical thinking. Toward that end, the writing center

• provides an environment condusive to writing,

• empowers student writers at all levels to learn more about writing and to become better writers, and

• supports teachers of writing in all disciplines.

Through individualized instruction, the writing center supports students in the production of written texts required to accomplish writers' personal, educational, and professional goals.
